Configure the display
Open Tableau Desktop and connect to the data source saved in the sample Superstore.
Go to a new worksheet.
In the Data pane, under Dimensions, drag Region to the Columns shelf.
In the Data pane, under Measures, drag Sales to the Rows shelf.
A bar chart appears showing the sum of sales for each region.
Step 2: Create the LOD expression
Instead of the sum of all sales per region, you may also want to see the average sales per customer for each region. You can use a LOD expression to do this.
Select Analysis > Create Calculated Field.
In the calculation editor sweden email list that opens, do the following:
Name the calculation, Sales Per Customer.

Type the following LOD expression:
{ INCLUDE : SUM() }
When you are done, click OK.
The newly created LOD expression is added to the Data pane under Measures. For more information about the types of LOD expressions you can use, see the LOD Expression Types section.
Step 3: Using the LOD expression in the visualization
In the Data pane, under Measures, drag Sales by Customer to the Rows shelf and place it to the left of SUM(Sales).
On the Rows shelf, right-click Sales by Customer and select Measure (Sum) > Average.
