I've seen these pop up a lot on the budget side, so I took the plunge and ordered a pair myself and thought I may share a quick mini JLab GO Air Pop review for those on the fence.
Sound quality: For $20-25 pair of earbuds this is a surprise. The 6mm drivers are powerful enough to provide adequate bass with good clarity. There are three EQ presets (Signature, Balanced, Bass Boost) you'll be able to switch between with touch controls, no app required, which was a plus for me.
Battery: This is where all reviews seem to concur. Each bud lasts approximately 8 hours and the case adds an additional 24+ hours for several days of charging free. I don't know about anyone else, but for the money, that's pretty darn cool.
Comfort and fit: They're as small as, 3.7 grams per earbud small. Along with the 3 sizes of silicone tips in the set, I had no trouble at all fitting them into the right spot. Did not change their activity level during light walks and exercise.
Build and extras: IPX4 water/sweat resistant will withstand rain/sweat from gym use, but no swimming. But it also has an inbuilt charging cable which is a very convenient feature to not have to scour the internet for a random cable to charge a case either.
Any downsides? There is no active noise canceller so background noise is audible and Bluetooth has a range of about 30 feet before it cuts off. Not everyday users but to know.
This JLab GO Air Pop review would definitely fall into the “worth it” category if you're looking for a no-fuss and budget option of a true wireless device. If you're considering any of the other budget earbuds for comparison, I'd also recommend doing a quick search on techyassist.
